Like father, like daughter

Payton has been sick for the past week.  We have been really lucky and she has been an AWESOME sleeper ever since she was really young.  But the past week she has ended up in our bed quite a bit.  Poor girl can't sleep very well lately.  What I never realized until this week is that Payton talks in her sleep just like her daddy.  Not only that but she rolls around, mumbles, twitches, snores and all....just like her daddy.  Maybe it is just because she is sick and restless, but I have a feeling she does it pretty regularly.

This girl seriously ADORES her daddy.  Especially lately.  I feel like the lame boring parent.  I can't do much with her and she counts down the hours until daddy can come home and throw her and run around with her and play hide and seek with her.  I miss the days that she was attached to my hip.  It's a good thing I'm about to have another baby that needs me 24/7 because Payton has already grown up and moved on.  She is 2 going on 16.

Ty took Payton on her very first Daddy Daughter Date.  We told her about it a week before and she wouldn't stop talking about it.  We decided that once we have two kids each of us will do a date a month just with one of our kids.  So that they get some one on one date with each of us.

Ty took Payton to Disney on Ice.  Just the two of them.  She was in heaven...

Until she found out that Elsa and Anna weren't coming.  Lame.  Way to disappoint Disney.

This never happens.  Like ever.  I can count on one hand the number of times she has fallen asleep in her carseat.  She was exhausted.

Day at the Zoo

It's getting harder and harder to get out and about, but with all this amazing weather I feel guilty not taking advantage of it.  So Payton and I took a trip to the zoo.  She had a blast.  It's crazy to think I have less then 3 weeks of having her all to myself.  I'm very curious/nervous about how she is going to react to meeting her little brother.  I know she is going to be super helpful, but she is also going to LOVE having someone to boss around.

Payton Conversations

Payton talks from sun up to sun down, and most of the time it is pretty entertaining.  I've been trying to write down some of the really funny ones so I can show her when she is older.

Convo #1
P: "Mommy, let me help you put your necklace on, it's really dangerous!"

Convo #2
P: "Mommy I am poopy.....wait nevermind I'm not."
Me: "Are you sure?"
P: "No, I'm just doing exercises with my poopy."

Convo #3
P: "Mommy you need to eat ALL of your cereal.  I'm going to count to 3......1,2,3 EAT IT ALL GONE RIGHT NOW!"
Me: "Payton you aren't the boss of me.  When you grow up and become a mommy and have your own kids then you can be the boss."
P: "Oh.....so when I'm really tall I get to be the boss?"

Convo #4
After gathering up lots of toys and some of her clothes in one of her backpacks, she walked towards the front door and said,
P: "Mommy, I'm going bye bye!"
Me: "Where are you going?"
P: "To a REALLY tall mountain.  See you later!"

Convo #5
As she was coloring in her coloring book she casually said,
P: "Mommy let's celebrate!"
Me: "Okay, how do we celebrate?"
P: "By making a list!"
Me: "Okay, what should we put on your list?"
P: "First..... (thinking really hard) a PIRATE SHIP!"
